Don't Wait for Inspiration

Look for and prepare yourself to be inspired. Be organized and clean your area. A messy work-space can clutter the mind. In addition, a nice walk (a change of scenery) can clear and/or inspire the mind as well. Take a look at artists and the artworks that you like. It may spark an idea.

Editorial Illustration Ideas and Concepts

1. Be comfortable: It's difficult to produce your best quality work when under-pressure or when feeling uncomfortable - whether it be the environment or your setting. Have all your materials laid out and organized, and within arms reach. Settle yourself in a comfortable position (standing or sitting) in a room with little to no distractions.

2. Don't wait for inspiration: Look for and prepare yourself to be inspired. Be organized and clean your area. A messy workspace can clutter the mind. In addition, a nice walk (a change of scenery) can clear and/or inspire the mind as well.

3. Realize where you stand as an artist: It's normal to lose passion for the creative arts, even if it feels like it's the end of the world for you as an individual. It'll really be the end if you, as an artist, decide to ultimately give up and accept that "you don't have it in you." Knowing where you stand is the first step to fixing the issue. Step two would be figuring out what extinguished your passion (stress; fear; etc.).

Lighting Studies

Grand

Turn left once you enter the double doors of the grand mansion.
Walk towards the kitchen; it's down the hall. Turn left once more and switch the lights on.
You'll find a candle and some fruits. If the candle's lit, it's too late. They've arrived.

Rumpelstitskin_Storytelling Elements

1. Rumpelstiltskin has just finished the first batch of spinning straw into gold.
2. The soon-to-be Queen sees the magic of Rumpelstiltskin.
3. The King is astonished and hoaxed into believing the old peasant's lie about his daughter.
4. The peasant's daughter is locked in a great dull room full of straw.
5. The daughter is placed in the castle's tower (as opposed to dungeon): hence the light piercing through the windows.
6. Story book concept: The King has forced the daughter to spin a plethora of straw into gold. The vast room showcases the ridiculous stacks of straw and the beautiful pile of gold.
